HANJI PAPER transfer PAPER how to solve the problem of cost and efficiency?
HANJI PAPER has been engaged in the sublimation transfer PAPER industry for more than 20 years, and has been engaged in digital printing transfer PAPER for 15 years, which is very well understood in the transfer PAPER market. At present, in the transfer paper market, Europe and America account for 40% of the market share, and the Asia Pacific occupies 60% market share. According to incomplete statistics, the Asia Pacific market now consumes around 20,000 tons of paper consumption per month, compared with just a few hundred tons a month in the market a decade ago. In particular, the introduction of single-pass equipment in the past two years has caused a great change in the whole transfer paper industry, and it has been gradually close to the industrial digital printing market from the small mass market of the original personalized small batch.
At present, HANJI PAPER's transfer PAPER products are mainly sold in the international market. The foreign market accounts for about 70%, and the domestic market accounts for 30%. HANJI PAPER's product positioning has always been focused on the cost and efficiency of customer care. According to Zhao, "there are a lot of enterprises who produce transfer paper. We control the cost of products from the original paper. The formula design and process design of the original paper are all considered for the final cost of the customer. In terms of product design, more consideration is given to the production efficiency of the customers. The key research direction of the transfer paper is the application of low-gram reprinting paper. In general, our role positioning is to help users solve the two key problems of cost and efficiency in the premise of ensuring product quality.
There are many single-pass and transfer printing machine users to point out that low gram reprinting paper is cheaper, but it is more critical to the use of ink and higher requirements for paper. How does HANJI PAPER solve these problems? Zhao told us, "The technology of the whole industry has been developing. The early ink quality has not reached the industrialization requirement, and there is no requirement for the drying time of the ink. With the acceleration of printing speed and productivity, the drying speed and various indexes of ink and paper are higher. There is a problem with low-gram reprinting with early ink: the early ink contains a lot of moisturizers, and the drying rate is slow, and the dye slowly penetrates the back of the paper. In response to this phenomenon, many manufacturers now offer fast dry ink and high concentration ink, which can improve the pain points in the use of ink. From the paper point of view, we also make coatings for new ink changes, drying faster and less permeable. Everyone is making efforts to improve the product. The problem of low gram heavy paper in production has been solved, which can completely meet the current high speed production efficiency.

With the expansion of textile printing and dyeing industry, the demand for paper products is higher and higher. For the future industry requirements, HANJI PAPER develops 300T, which is different from traditional heat transfer PAPER. It is finished by machine inside coating process, from original PAPER to finished product. The product has been sold in foreign markets and has been tried in local market. The customer feedback is very good. 300T is mainly aimed at fast - selling high - concentration ink, which is in line with the future direction of ink development in this industry. Only ink, equipment and paper can be combined to ensure the stable and efficient production of customers.
 
According to Zhao, 300T is mainly used in three fields. "The first is industry field: some sports elastic fabrics, customers have a lot of, the international and domestic also has a lot of this kind of sports products, typical case is that we in the north area of Hulu Dao market. As far as we know, HuLuDao area takes up 60% market share of domestic swimsuit printing. Early this market are using high gram weight transfer paper, at first customers didn't accept this when we introduced the 300 t machine products to them, they think low gram transfer paper deformation is large, the first problem is the second involves the problem of infiltration, the third involving the drying problem. After a period of promotion and application, a typical customer of HuLuDao has an order of 2.3 million meters per month to transfer printing with 300T. The second field is business: a large number of applications in flexible logos and commercial large space display systems. We introduced the application in the advertising industry when we promoted the product market of 300T. After more than half a year's trial, the market has received a good response. At present, the personal consumption market has not covered the 300T product.
The biggest difference between 300T and the previous transfer paper products is that this product is produced with the machine inside coating process, the original paper is formed in one time. It is very difficult for the whole product to produce the original paper at once. First, it is necessary to solve the problem of deformation and pleating in the process of paper use, and it is very difficult to control the key index. Therefore, the pulp of 300T is different from conventional products for the control of equipment and process and the design of paint formulation.300T is less coated and more environmentally friendly. The production process did not go through more processing procedures. In the process of producing the original paper, some key indicators and requirements were added, and the original paper was formed once, without more energy consumption. In addition, the product itself is low in weight, low to 43 grams, and may be below 40 grams. At present in the transfer paper industry, 40 grams of the following transfer paper production technology is a key breakthrough point.
 
In the process of paper making before, two kinds of equipment are needed for raw paper processing and coating. The original paper of 300T removes of the coating process. The original paper transport cost and the coating process charge and the cost of processing loss, which happen between the original paper and coating process, are reduced greatly. It may not feel like a significant drop in costs from the user's perspective, but it is a huge leap from a production standpoint. The situation of each factory is different in the coating process, but basically every ton of paper needs about RMB1, 000 of processing fee, which is equal to the loss of the processing fee, which reduces the loss by 2% to 5%. At present, the price of the 40 grams products on the popular market is around RMB0.6-0.65/m2, and the price of 300T will be lower to 5% to 10%.
Single-Pass allows digital printing to speed up again, so can the single-pass transfer paper be 40g? Zhao told us, "traditional gravure printing is now used in 30 grams of paper, but the printing technology is different to the paper requirements. Domestic factories recently installed a lot of Single - Pass equipment, many users are from traditional gravure printing industry transferred to the digital printing industry, and for low gram transfer paper products have a certain understanding, also hope to lower gram products can meet the current digital printing technology. But I remember from the single-pass user said that the technology was still in the early stages of matching, and the matching of the most critical ink, sprinkler, and paper is not yet mature. We are also doing this preparation, but there is no use case that makes us feel particularly satisfied. With the maturity of consumables manufacturers and the whole single-pass scheme, there will be a satisfactory environment for customers to use in the near future.
 
Industry competition is inevitable, digital printing development has a long way to go!
In order to obtain more orders and market, improve the utilization rate of the equipment, the price of digital printing orders is even reduced to RMB3.5 yuan per square meter, and the printing plant is also divided against the price of paper ink. In Zhao's view, "price competition is the performance of the whole industry competition, just to highlight the price. “Competition is inevitable, but companies must put product quality first. Besides product quality and service, cost control is also very important. At present, there is a price of RMB3.5 yuan per square meter in the market, and it will be even lower in the future. The algorithm for cost is different. I remember that before, BBS mentioned the cost of coating printing. The key indicator is the fixed cost. In the case of fixed costs, it is necessary to expand the income to increase the profit. I think the price will be reduced in the future when the product is homogenized."
 
Compared with foreign textile printing industry, Zhao said, "The difference between China's whole textile printing industry and foreign countries is quite large. Before we can communicate with many peers, foreign market is dominated by designer to most industries products structure and development direction, but domestic development direction is basically decided by the consumers, this is two completely different concepts. Even many domestic fabric design decisions in the fabric factory owners, and it’s really different with foreign designers’ leading.
"Digital printing should still be dominated by brands. The concept of brand representative is more, including product development and design ability and link user channel and platform. Brand building needs to combine whole industry chain. Digital printing is not limited to processing but to be a brand, but most of the digital printing in China is just doing processed now.
